Steve I was thinking about the Time Machine this morning and it seems to me that George built the machine by himself and had to pannel beat the dish quarters by hand so its more than likely that the “real” dish would have been out of round and full of imperfections. Therefore (and you may like this) trying to make the dish perfect would actually be making it less accurate. You have to love sci-fi reasoning.
