Here’s a few unprocessed frames from the ships interior in Foo Fighters I did this week.

You really don’t get a true appreciation for this boat’s size until you see some nerd holding it. Heck it doesn’t even fit inside the 16:9 framing of this camera. I have her all ready to go in the pool this Sunday but my ballast weight won’t show up until Monday. So Tuesday I will trim her in the pool. It will take about 6-7 pounds of lead to keel her. Maybe not but we will fin out this week. Then I need to find a large public pool to test her in. If she passes there she can go to the lake.
Foo Fighters got 12 more new CGI shots this week and a few more to come next week. Then I’ll cut those shots in. Fame grabs soon.
Here’s some pictures. I’ll do a walk around video tomorrow and some daylight pictures.

OK. The big VIIC German U-boat is up next. It gets a dunk in the pool. Trimmed and tested. But this model is so large I will only be able to go forward and backward. And I can dive but to turn she needs a bigger pool or the lake.
Anyone have a big ass pool in the LA area I can use??? Let me know.
Enjoy the video. Next week there will be one more because this bird will be done! I have to paint the base, clear coat her and that’s about it. Now to let all those 100s of decals completely dry for the next few days!
If the video isn’t playing give it awhile You Tube is still processing it. Thanks!
I’m doing a job for a client that included zooming in on the Earth from space. I had to build a new up to date Earth model today. The animation is rendering now at 1920×1080. One of the things CGI does so well is space effects. Our Earth is so beautiful. Everyone should see it from this point of view and maybe then we’d make Space Ships. Not war!

5 freaking days to add all the Aztec decals. It was grueling! I could have built and entire model in that time. Every square inch of this big model’s surface is covered in them. Now all I have to do is add the markings. You know. USS Enterprise and that sort of thing. But there’s a hell of a lot of them too! This model has every single marking the 7 ft miniature had. Yikes. Still that will take a day or so. Then I’m finished.
I have a customer build next. A 57 inch long RC Seaview. It will be easy after this one.
Here’s some pictures although at the small size it’s hard to see all the work. I’ll shoot a video soon.
