Wow that restoration came out amazing. Such a shame it fell and shattered but you saved her, Steve!

Jeffrey, what my research shows is a long-time Star Trek fan named Gregory Jein built this as representative of Zephram Cochram’s “Phoenix”, the “first” warp-drive starship.

Noting that for “Star Trek: first Contact” the producers of that film decided on a different design, which ultimately made it to screen.

You can learn about Greg Jein from the “Memory-Alpha” database:

The rubbery things you fixed look to be ladies hair curlers, my mother had in the late 60 early 70s 2 piece the outside pice looks like the piece on the nacelle.

Steve, just wishing to add how impressive this restoration of Greg Jein’s model turned out, this further exemplifies your skills tremendously.

Steve, I could be wrong (of course), but I think that stretchy blue plastic cagey-looking piece on each nacelle might be good ol’ fashioned curling rolls like the ones my mom used to wear in her hair at night!

Check out Voyager – season 5 Ep 20 “Juggernaut”

Look at the model space ship the alien is playing with at the beginning of the episode. Missing some parts, but looks like the same model(?)
