Tomorrow land

I saw “Tomorrow land” last night with Mary. I was moved and the film spoke to me and all of us that dream of a beautiful, positive and productive tomorrow.

We few, the dreamers, the ones who never give up or dare to imagine the impossible will inherit this tomorrow, those stars, the universe. What do we have to loose by trying? We certifiably have a great deal to loose if we don’t.

The message was strong, important but I felt lost on 90 percent of the audience it was viewed by. But In reality far less than that that percentage has and will give us the gifts and wonders created out of dreaming we enjoy today. From your computer to the flags on the Moon. The few matters. And in this case their needs will always outweigh the needs of the many IMHO. Another words, the few contribute to the needs of the many. It’s a win, win.

Lastly I believe Walt would have liked this movie, because it truly, for the first time in years, put back the Disney in Walt Disney. This was Walt’s vision. This is what I felt when I was 7 years old and stood in from of that TWA Moon Liner.

I will never give up, and I will never stop dreaming about a better future for us all.

As Mary said to be just now, what you project in your mind is the life and world you will live. It’s time to feed the correct wolf. 😉

More on the ding doing bridge

image image image image image image

A bit more done today on the bridge. This is hard work and slow. I didn’t like the consoles just be a transparency like the 1/350 builds I have seen. They are suppose to be little lighted buttons. So I cut little plastic panels, drilled holes through them and placed very small fiber optics.
I took pictures with and without the dome. There’s a piece of annoying hot glue webbing in there which is that white thing you see. Easily removed. Still along way to go.

That darn bridge

As usual the iPhone over exposes the panels and lights they arn’t this bright. Tomorrow I’ll have it all tiddied up and take some pics with the Nikon. But this will give you an idea. It’s just a test fit. And yes I removed the dome because the iPhone tends to focus on the dome and not through it. The dome looks fine in person.

SNG Studio …great day

We had a great day shooting with Uncle Ted and Modelman Tom. We finished the last of the live action and tomorrow I’m cutting all of it together to get rid of that gapping black leader of scenes missing. Thanks so much to Ted and Tom for such a great day. I’ll be cutting the real trailer next week to because we are finally nearing completion.

While I waited for them to get to the studio I got a chance to do a bit more on the painting but this darn iPhone camera just washes it out and you can’t even see all the fine little stars in the field. I should have it finished and will use the Nikon to get some better shots. Moved the moon and put it in the right place and started the Milky Way which looks so bright in these pictures but is not.
