SNGand more fun

Gisell works on seam burning on the creature hands, Mary on her wood block carving for printing. And I have been getting nacelles. First tests on the first nacelle. Motor will installed tomorrow. Cages are just quickies I’m going to make better ones. Three pics show the differences according to which blinking lights are on or off. Certificates are back from the printers, and toys for a couple of friends. Blaster kits.

Sng fun!

Yesterday Gissel finished my klingon teeth. What a great job she did on them. Next up…the wig. and then we’ll be doing th make up on me. We ran foam with Kasha and Gissel for the alien hands. They learned how to run foam and we got a perfect pare the first time! All that has to be done is to trim the flash off and seam them. Paint and then they can go on the mechanics that move the hands. cool! More work on the Nautilus. Got the dive planes installed and the rudder built.WTC bulkheads installed and foam padded to protect the cylinder from scratching.

Sng stuff

Another hard day at Enterprise. It may not look like much to the eye but it was 7 hours on the pylons to get them to fit together cleanly and lock them cleanly to both sockets of the engineering section and the nacelles. Today I’ll be sanding the putty smooth, primer and actual hull color and secondary parts added. Gisell and Jen worked on teeth and the cores for the creatures hands for our new show. Gisell has never sculpted before yet she’s doing a first class job sculpting my Klingon teeth. Jen has never before made a core interior in clay for the cores for these hands and has done a better job than I would have done. impressive, most impressive.

Enterprise continues to finish

Working hard on the Enterprise to finish her by the end of this month or year for that matter. The parts are just nasty as the molds were so bad and many of the pieces warped. But with a some Evercoat, sandpaper and relentlous pursuit it takes shape. The nacelles were the worse and they are now round and seamless. Still left to do is sand down the red putty and primer today. Place the other parts on the surface. The end caps and the busshards attach with pins. They are removable to access the lighting going in next. It will be all down to closing the hull parts, seaming and sanding next week. That leaves the paint job and decals. In addition Brandon Stacy’s ear molds are excellent and we will run the silicone soon in them. Paul Forest is next for the ears.
